Agriculture is one of the main sectors of the economy in Chernivtsi region (Bukovyna), which has demonstrated stable development in recent years and currently accounts for 20% of the region’s gross value added. Since the beginning of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, the Chernivtsi region has also become one of the key transportation corridors connecting Ukraine with Western Europe. To compensate for the decline in grain exports by seaports, the region has established dry ports for grain exports. Currently, there are about 200 companies with foreign capital from 28 countries operating in the region. Bukovyna ranks 1st in terms of fruit and berry production and yield in Ukraine. To date, it reaches 17% of Ukraine’s total output. The region has 60 fruit storage facilities with a total capacity of 65.0 thousand tons, including 50 controlled atmosphere storage facilities with a capacity of 57.2 thousand tons. To support small producers and the industry as a whole, it is necessary to establish fruit and berry harvesting and processing facilities in the region. This will enable the formation of large batches of products, their processing, and sale, thereby expanding the market, including to EU countries. FIT for Ukraine: Bukovyna Agro program has been designed to present analytical materials on the state of the sector in the region, investment opportunities and government incentives for the implementation of investment projects.

Key topics of the event include:

● Investment policy, analytics and prospects for the region’s development;

● Creation of a cluster of fruit and vegetable producers;

● Successful cases of the investors working in the Chernivtsi region. We invite potential investors, representatives of the furniture industry and experts to join the event!
